💥 (*PR/gifted) Yes, it’s another Benton review! I adore this cruelty-free Korean brand, and today I’m reviewing their Goodbye Redness Centella Spot Cream.
💥 This is a soothing spot cream meant to be used on breakouts & irritated, inflamed skin. I was very impressed to see that the first ingredient is centella asiatica, an ingredient that many of us K-beauty lovers are very familiar with—it’s extremely anti-inflammatory, healing, & calming for troubled skin. I always reach for a centella product when my skin is inflamed & angry. .
💥 The other star ingredient here is calamine, that pink liquid that many of us remember being covered in as kids to soothe our poison ivy. Calamine helps relieve itching and inflammation, & can also help reduce excessive oil production. This ingredient does make the cream apply pink, but it’s easily absorbed with a bit of patting, & easily sinks into the skin & disappears. .
💥This cream also contains jojoba oil for further anti-inflammatory properties & moisture; houttuynia cordata extract for antioxidant, antifungal, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, & anti-allergy properties; enantia chlorantha bark extract for oil control; and tea tree oil for antibacterial & anti-inflammatory properties.
💥 I’ve used this on a few blemishes since I received it, and while it is soothing & helps to bring down inflammation, I need a bit more to actually dry up the blemish. I’ve found the best way this works for me is to use something more drying, like my 30% salicylic acid peel, as a spot treatment to really get into the pore & dry up the blemish, and then rinse that off & apply this cream to help soothe, calm, & add a bit of moisture. This is the best method I’ve found to use this on an active blemish. It also works beautifully on a blemish that is no longer active, as it really helps to bring the inflammation down & start the healing process.
💥 Overall, I have really enjoyed using this. Even though I need a bit more drying action for an active breakout, the addition of this product to really help soothe and calm the skin, & reduce oil production while offering some moisture, has been a great addition to my anti-blemish arsenal. I would absolutely repurchase it, and look forward to trying more products in this line, such as the Centella Calming Gel.
