This reminds me a lot of actual water, consistency and transparency wise. My skin easily absorbs it which makes doing the 3/5 skin method an ease. It's best to use after cleansing the face to restore moisture through hyaluronic acid and the cacao extracts it contains.
Personally, I only prefer doing the 3 skin on a regular basis. I was able to use this for 7 skin after doing my weekly mandelic peel, and it just helps a lot with the dryness combined with my other serums, too.
I've always expressed my love for hydrating toners. They're easy to use and my oily skin just gravitates towards it. Also, it's versatile for me as I can also use it on daytime even if it's summer. This claims to promote an oil-water balance of the skin, and I think the idea behind it is, when your skin is properly hydrated and moisturized, your skin won't produce as much oil because it doesn't have to compensate for dryness.
Doesn't contain fragrance and alcohol which I always prefer to avoid any kind of irritation that might occur. True enough, my skin just drinks this up without any negative reaction. I love that it still has madecassoside and salix alba extract (botanical form of salicin before it turns into salicylic acid) which was also a part of the counterpart serum of this, which I really enjoyed.
